| Andrea has reached the third place in Ruhpolding at the relay competition with Thuringia I (Katrin Apel/Andrea Henkel/Kati Wilhelm) today. With a terrific performance and only one missed target she has substantially contributed to the third place. We cordially congratulate Andrea to this excellent performance! |

| Having a stomach gastric influenza, Andrea didn't participate in the sprint competition on Friday, and today she didn't take part in the mass start of GC / ATT in Ruhpolding. We wish Andrea a good recovery and that she will feel better as soon as possible. |

| The first part of the ATT has taken place in Oberhof this weekend. We were there and have supported Andrea. A detailed report and photos about this event will follow. On Friday Andrea has reached the tenth place in the Individual competition, and on Saturday Andrea has reached the twelfth place in the pursuit competition. Today Andrea didn't start in the Sprint under relay conditions. For the second part in Ruhpolding we wish Andrea all the best and much success! |

| The first part of the German championship will start in Oberhof tomorrow. On the program are the individual and the pursuit competitions. Additionally a sprint competition under relay conditions will be started on Sunday. We have opened a Thread in our forum for the ATT in Oberhof and we will try to provide there new information from Oberhof. |

Time to the WC in Oberhof, taking place from February 5th to 15th, 2004, gets shorter and shorter. One can already espy the first signs at the entrance to Oberhof. Many thanks to Claudia Goetze for the provision of the photo.Our member Lutz became third placed in a 10 km competition in the Einbecker woods on sunday. On the heavy gravel track Lutz ran 38:53 minutes. We congratulate on this terrific performance! |

| The preparation of the national teams for the next season is in progress. For this reason Biathlonworld.com wants to bring you some interesting changes from the national teams. Some of this are already confessed (e.g. pregnancy of Liv Grete Poiree). The most important changes are summarized in the News. |

On August 10th and 11th we were in Ruhpolding and participated in a course in the biathlon camp of Fritz Fischer. Asides from some photos about this event our experiences are available in the announced report now as well. |

Three weeks ago we reported about the reconstruction of the stadium in Oberhof. Claudia Goetze (press spokesperson WSV Oberhof) kindly sent us some current pictures of the reconstruction work. Especially in comparison to the first pictures progress of the construction work is obvious. |

| We used the last days to relaunch the design of our home page. Our site is now optimized for 1024*768 pixel in the Microsoft Internet Explorer as of version 5. About the left navigation you can enter the frequented sites directly. In addition we have made a new intro and added a small story about our home page. We would like to draw your attention to a special about Janet Klein, which was made in the end of June in Oberhof. |

| The most important results of the IBU congress are available in the News. The most important rule change was the shortening of the distance at woman relay competitions from 4 x7, 5 km to 4 x6 km. This distance shall even be run at Olympia 2006 in Turin. At World Cups the incumbent title holders are eligible to enter in the individual and sprint additionally to the national quota in the future, in mass start all winners of medals will be allowed to participate.
